Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RTM Audio, operated by Ohad Nissim, Luxembourg (“RTM Audio,” “we,” or “us”), collects and uses personal data when you visit rtmaudio.com, join our mailing list, take part in our beta programme, open an RTM account, buy a licence, send us a preset or a video, or use our software. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), RTM Audio is the data controller.
01 Information We Collect
Information you give us. Your email address when you ask to be notified, when you join our mailing list, or when you tick the box to receive our emails as you open an RTM account; and, if you take part in the beta, your name (optional) and the feedback you submit.
Information collected automatically. When you submit a form, we record the IP address and browser user-agent alongside it to prevent spam and abuse. Our hosting provider also processes standard request logs.
Beta access and sign-in. A functional cookie stores your beta authentication, and if you sign in to your RTM account, cookies keep you signed in so you stay signed in. It is not used for tracking or advertising.
Measurement. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people reach. It sets no cookie, builds no profile, and does not follow you to other sites. If you arrive from one of our emails or posts, the link carries a campaign code and, sometimes, a variant letter; we record that code alongside the page and, if you start a checkout, alongside the order. The code identifies the message, never you, and we do not put your email address or your name in a link.
Your account. An RTM account is required to activate a licence. When you open one you provide your name, your email address and a password. The account is hosted for us by Moonbase, which stores your credentials and your licence records; we never see your password. We use your account to issue and check your licences, to show you your downloads and your activated devices, and to contact you about your purchase.
Your purchase. Checkout is handled by Moonbase, our merchant of record, on their own page. We do not see or store your card details. We receive the record of what you bought, the licence it produced, and the email address attached to it.
What you send us. If you send us a preset or a video, we store the file, anything you type alongside it, and the account it came from. We do not publish it unless you tick the box that says we may.
Your audio. Our software processes audio locally on your device. Your audio content is not transmitted to RTM Audio. Files you choose to send us through the website are the exception, and they are covered above.
02 How We Use It
- To send you the launch or update notice you requested;
- To send you news about new plug-ins, updates and offers, if you asked for them;
- To run your RTM account, issue and check your licences, and show you your downloads and devices;
- To operate the beta programme and respond to and act on your feedback;
- To review the presets and videos you send us and, with your consent, publish them;
- To keep our services secure and prevent abuse;
- To provide and license our software; and
- To comply with our legal obligations.
03 Legal Bases
We rely on: your consent for the mailing list and beta participation (which you may withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests in securing our services, preventing abuse, and improving our products from feedback; and the performance of a contract when we provide software and licences to you.
Your account, your purchases and the licences they produce are processed to perform our contract with you. We keep order records because tax and accounting law require it. Files you send us are stored because you asked us to look at them, and published only with your consent.
We send news and offers by email only to people who asked for them, by ticking the box when they opened an RTM account or by joining our mailing list. Your consent is the basis for those emails, and you can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to privacy@rtmaudio.com. Opening an account, starting a trial or buying a licence does not add you to our mailing list. Emails about your order, your licence or your account are not marketing; we send them to perform our contract with you.
04 Service Providers
We share personal data only with the following providers:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, database, file storage, email routing, and cookieless web analytics;
- EmailOctopus: managing our mailing list and sending email;
- Moonbase: our merchant of record. Moonbase takes the payment on its own page, issues and checks licences, and is the controller of the payment data it collects there.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
05 International Transfers
Some of our providers are located outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States or the United Kingdom). Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
06 Retention
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep beta feedback for the duration of the beta programme and a reasonable period afterwards. Security and request logs are kept only for a short period.
Account and licence records are kept for as long as your account exists. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law require. Presets and videos you send us are kept until you ask us to delete them or, if you agreed to publication, for as long as we publish them.
07 Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@rtmaudio.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Luxembourg, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD).
08 Cookies
We use only essential, functional cookies, the beta-access cookie described above and, if you sign in, the cookies that keep you signed in to your RTM account. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required for tracking.
09 Children
Our site and software are intended for professional and adult users and are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10 Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
